. . . bastion of hope for short people (OK, he's 6-0ish, but that's short in the NBA).

Vastly vastly overrated player that will never win a championship.

Chuck, how does missing 20 shots a game help his team? His supporting cast was never Laker-esque, but he had some decent role players around him that could pick it up when he was ice cold. But all he does is dribble dribble dribble, go to the hoop and miss a layup, or misfire on a 3. And his attitude kills his team. If I were an NBA GM, the first thing I would do is hang myself, but if they cut me down first, I'd make sure never to let him near my team.

The list of individual honors goes on. And the list of team successes is incredibly short. Me thinks you're making their point on accident.

You're telling me that those players could've picked it up when he was ice cold? I never knew Eric Snow was a great mid range shooter.
Secondly, I find it hard to believe that if all a guy does is "dribble dribble dribble,go to te hoop an dmiss a layup, or misfire on a 3" that he could come up with these numbers:
    Year PPG
    96-97 23.5
    97-98 22.0
    98-99 26.8
    99-00 28.4
    00-01 31.1
    01-02 31.4
    02-03 27.6
    03-04 26.4
    04-05 30.7
    05-06 33.0
    06-07 31.2
    Career 28.1

Oh yeah, the guy is listed at 6'0(he's actually shorter).

Take 3x as many shots as everyone else and you're bound to score.

He needed to take all those shots for his team to have any chance to win games and you know it.
And he's not the only guy who has done this.

Seven titles to zero (counting an NCAA title). Nothing more need be said.
