Wanted to bump this...Just saw this on a BLOOOOOGGGGG!, but it's interesting. Adande apparently sent the Big Lead guys an e-mail with some interesting thoughts on his free agency. (Forgive me if this is a d_b, but I couldn't find anything about this on the boards.)

This is the most remarkable part to me: He turned down SI because he liked doing Around the Horn that much, and is close to signing with ESPN.com. Now, I know J.A. Adande doesn't need Sports Illustrated, and I'm definitely going to read him every time he writes something on the Dot Com, which isn't true for most of their columnists. But still, that's quite a statement.

Yelling via videoconference at Paige and Marriotti and Stat Boy is really that fun?

I think it could be a lot of fun. Sure certain things about the job need taken seriously, but not every minute of your job has to be fun-free. Lots of bullshitting and cracking jokes on each other, plus for good money. I can easily see how fun that would be. Plus I hear Stat Boy is a hell of a good guy.
