Jake Scott piece

I bet there are some NY athletes who wish that were true,but he is alive and well. I saw him this past summer bouncing around Yankee press room and press box like the return of a conquering hero.

A while back someone wrote that he was an editor for Newsday.

greatest sportswriter ever. some tried to characterize him as a nebish - a woody allen of the pressbox - but he was like a roid-crazed monster in print. i thought he was dead.

 

We're talking about Henry Hecht who covered the Yankees, right? Wrote for SI, Newsday....same guy?

there was a man law created a few years ago here that does not allow sports writers names to be used as handle. I think you need to come up with a new handle.

And I have zero kindness for henry, who said terrible things about me early in my career, but i just think it's incredibly wrong to use the name of an actual sportswriter as a handle on this site.
