If they do, some heads should roll for paying him that kinda coin all those years.

The bald dude is an ombudsman for Gawker's Jalopnik site and "comments" often enough on deadspin, he has a fun nickname. So he's not exactly Harry Grabowski. Be that as it may, the Sun-Times is getting some bump from this, online and at the racks, so good for them. A lot of good people work there, and the paper provides an important civic duty. it's survival is keen.

    This thread is great reading.

I'd love for Mariotti to check in. I have to think he knows about us, maybe even posts.

S-T is at 312K during the week and 249k on weekends... 10 percent is a b-i-g jump (but would love to see it).

Plan on climbing the ladder, do ya, Bubbler? Do better than them who got there before you then.

Oh, and no need to shout, you loudmouth.

The paper reverses its long-held strategy, stops foisting Mariotti on Chicago sports fans and now hopes to profit from that reversal? Frauds.

"Come back to McBurgy's, where we no longer will be peddling ass-inflating, flatulence-inducing, artery-clogging horsemeat hamburgers while pretending for the past 17 years that they were nutritious and fun."

This is from the Bob Arum School of Marketing: Then I was lying. Now I'm telling you the truth.

Joe makes a very valid point. The Sun-Times paid Mariotti such an exorbitant salary. Nobody held a gun their heads. He's still a punk but the S-T has to share the blame for this situation.

They have a lower circ on weekends? Or is that a typo?

  11. It's true. It's a big-time commuter paper. Tens of thousands of people read it on the train.

I wonder if they just decided to trash him before he had a chance to trash them.

Love Jay or hate Jay, that cover shows no class whatsoever.
