Jay Mariotti resigns

    I'd be curious what kind of "non-compete" clause Jay has in his contract.

    The second he's convinced he won't be sued, he'll be at The Tribune.

    Very disappointing the Tribune tried to hire the flip flopper who attacks his own. Not a surprise, but disappointing.

    There is nothing Mariotti can do to stoop as low as the Sun-Times did.

    What they did after he left was nothing short of disgraceful.

    . . . and I'm not a blind defender of Steinberg. I've read his latest book ("Drunkard"), and while you feel badly for the guy, the monstrous ego and prickly social persona makes him a match w/Jay, in that area. Tough to take sides.
