If you buy into Pearlman's premise, the first half can only be described as a hate crime.

OK, so you think Del State's gonna want to continue trying to get a regular series going.

    (Blue Hens, 44-7).

Ooops. Did someone TiVO that sucker?

    Didn't think so.

I knew a guy in grad school who would never shut up about how great UDelaware was at everything.

By that premise, perhaps all in-state rivalries that feature one lopsided score should be discontinued, huh? Hell I watched it because I was interested in finally being able to see it. Delaware should be happy they finally got to play it since they wouldn't have made the playoffs otherwise. And the weakasses in the administration need to make the game happen sometime already.

that column by pearlman was very good. sort of takes guts (and stupidity?) to slam your own school.

I found it rather ironic when ESPN first interviewed Harker and then as they were going to talk to the DSU president, they cut back to the game. Then, when they brought it back on him, they had to cut away again.

  7. First Reilly, now Pearlman. Methinks sirvaliant is harboring some deep-seated grudges against national columnists. Although I don't particularly like the way the piece was couched -- the "open letter to recruits" comes across as a little too personally vindictive -- it's a good column. The fact that Jeff went to the school gives it some credibility. Maybe Mr. brown should try to learn things from national types rather than just slamming them all the time.

Pearlman wrote a follow-up column from the game.

I think they discussed it quite a bit in 1776. It's just a hunch, spnited would know.

Whenever I see or hear Delaware, I think of this clip from Wayne's World:
    .

    "Hi, we're in Delaware."

They hadn't been there, yet. Their mistake. ;)
