Sorry, I didn't see your post earlier about this. We will have to agree to disagree. He comes off as a rotten human being and he has treated me like garbage without provocation. My opinion will never change on that. Doc can kindly go fuck himself. Sorry.

You guys remember what I said on the other thread? Applies here, too. Don't just transfer it to this one and suddenly it is OK.

You are very much entitled to your opinion. I've never seen the world where one has to agree with me on everything to be my friend.
My complaint is not what you think, my complaint is your (and others, you are hardly alone) constantly bringing it up here. It isn't necessary

That's fair enough, but the fact is that that asshole poisoned the waters for me with a lot of people here.

Anyway, certain personalities are always going to clash. Obviously he and I are in that boat.

Somehow over my too many years of life, I've ended up with a number of mutual friends who can't stand each other. One day, I'm going to invite all of them to a party.
    And then leave.

It's bound to happen if you know a lot of people with strong personalities, especially when those personalities congregate on the Internet.

But but but - there are no strong personalities in THIS business

I was just trying to avoid using his name!

Look, he and I had reached a place of something approaching friendliness at one point. I think like a lot of us, age, marriage, parenthood -- and real life troubles -- put a lot of things in perspective.

But that ended. Not sure why. I think some of his minions turned on him because of it.

Either way, I'm not aware of him ever apologizing to anyone for how he treated them, or for allowing them to be trashed on his site. Let's be honest, if folks ripped you or I over there, he wouldn't give either of us the same courtesy you've given him. (He might move it to the private board though.) Hell, you took more abuse over there than anyone. And, good for you for not letting it bother you.

I don't think any of the folks I spar with here are bad guys. Not at all. I even like @Michael_ Gee!

I'm not sure he would say the same thing. And that's the difference, and it's a big one.

Everyone has a strong personality on the Internet.

That's fine and likely fair - but let's stop discussing it here. We get it.
And yeah, someone said they hoped I died in a fire. It got ugly for a while - but that's long long ago. I've had the same and worse said about me here
