How is that being argumentative. It has been good with a few blips. Try not to take everything I say so daggone seriously

Let's not downplay the fact that there was a time when a tie game at half between Alabama and Vandy was not utterly preposterous.

Lighten up Francis. Jesus you are something - and you stop using posts to bash moderators? K? Can you handle that? It would help things move along because we're all tired of the shots at US because you don't like it when someone takes a shot at YOU.

Now get back on topic, take it to PMs (don't, that's a joke) and have a nice Dealing With Select A-Holes Day

It wasn't a shot at me.

When a moderator of the board comes onto a thread to bring up the banned politics topic, I figured to take it seriously. Should I not?

Whatever - you just get pissy when people take shots you don't like. You can take them whenever you want though.

I need to help you find another outlet. I know you have young kids and a busy life but still. You get too worked up over this joint. Ain't healthy man

Here's part of what Dipp said in that Twitter video:

“All I wanted to do was to show some respect, making my debut as a minority on American national TV. The biggest stage out there, on the most heartfelt day in this great country made up by immigrants, but on some people’s perspective, it all went wrong. But I truly meant no disrespect.”

He's a reporter for ESPN Deportes. He does soccer. He's based in Mexico City. Though he obviously speaks English more fluently than I ever will speak Spanish, he's never done a Monday Night Football game. English is not his first language. If you went to Molly McGrath or Maria Taylor or Allison Williams and asked them "hey, wanna do a MNF game?" I'm real comfortable they would have taken the assignment and nailed it.

I'm probably harsh to call the Twitter video narcissism. Hell, I am too harsh. I don't know why, in the Twitter video, he's referencing 9/11 and his elementary school studies to explain it away, but I don't think he knows the English language very well. The Twitter video, if you saw it, it comes off like a halting, ridiculous confessional from The Bachelorette. (A couple times, he ever goes into a whisper tone.)

I have no doubt your situation was very hard in the aftermath, but I think it was, well, a mistake.

ESPN put this kid in a position he couldn't and didn't handle.

I can't remember if you're fairly new or not, frankly. I think if you've been around long enough, it is fairly easy to tell when I'm being serious and when I'm being "playful." I guess not

Take him seriously but not literally!

Now that last line may be true. I'd concede that.

But anything in that video is simply trying to stop on the onslaught.

I feel the need to point out obvious statements that are beyond the pale. Someone's gotta do it, right? :)

Also, that's young kids and no other life.

Fuck that. She has a job, a very difficult job. It's not a privilege to have a job. She earned it. And beyond that, who are you or anyone else to tell her what she should do? Like I said a few pages ago, she's a big girl and understands there are consequences to her actions (ESPN could fire her!), but spare me the "maybe she should quit and work a real job" crap.
