    The only one who thought Harry had to die to save everyone else was Dumbledore. Harry didn't want to die. He was dreading the times he would have to face Voldemort and even admits he was lucky to survive the few times he did. As it turns out, Dumbledore was wrong. Harry didn't have to die to defeat Voldemort and thus rid the world of evil. Harry could live. Voldemort could be defeated. Evil could be destroyed without sacrifice. In that sense, Harry is far from a Christ-like character.

    I won't argue further except to say that Harry makes a great Christ and Dumbledore makes a poor God.

    Yes, those of us at the book tour got to see more of JK Rowling than expected. She showed us how revealing she can be at times.
