Looking at it from another perspective: What are the odds there is no extortionist?

That the real story is Skipper's just a massive coker and got bounced because of it?

    From Draper's story ...

He did not say how long he had been using cocaine, or whether he reported the extortion plot to law enforcement. In December, at the time of his resignation, Mr. Skipper said he was entering rehabilitation. The police departments in Bristol, Conn., and Wilton, Conn., the Connecticut State Police and the New York City Police Department all said then that there were no records of any incidents involving Mr. Skipper.

There's definitely an extortionist. It's a coke dealer in Central Park. Has the guy who wrote this story ever been to Central Park? Is this the late 70s, early 80s.

So a dealer -- who Skipper never dealt with till this one time -- concocted an elaborate plan to extort him?

That's the shoe that's going to drop when push comes to shove.

Was thinking I didn't have to use the blue font, guess I should have. Just posted on the previous page that's it's pretty funny if anyone thinks Skipper quit only because some coke dealer was going to out him.

I don't think Clay Travis is conservative or liberal.

He stakes out whatever SEC frat house position is going to drive traffic .

    How about "collar-popping bottom feeder?"

Never listened to the guy, aside from someone posting a clip here or a clip on another web site. He definitely evokes some anger from a few people at sj though.

What advantage is it tot Skipper to put out lies about him being on coke. Is that less embarrassing to him than just saying he got replaced? I am not sure I believe every detail of his story- for example, maybe there were some hookers involved- but I think the story is generally true as far as it goes.

Ummm, guess what I was saying was not clear. I do not think he is lying about doing coke. I think he definitely did coke. I do not think that is all he did.
I also do not think he feels so guilty about hurting his wife only because of doing coke. Guess it's possible, but it would be the first time I've heard something
like that. I'd bet it's way more likely he feels guilting about banging various women. Is it less embarrassing to say he has a coke problem?
Well I think it would be less embarrassing to his wife.

And how does a guy who makes 8 million bucks a year not have an emergency stash or two at the ready?
