The NFL and the Dolphins have gotten what they want out of this...

This is now a story about rookie hazing. That may have been where this started, but I would bet just about anything, it's not the reason Martin left the team.

I knew I was missing something on my resume. If only our paths had crossed ...

The difference between hazing and bullying is hazing is done to a group (rookies, pledges and others, kind of like a rite of initiation - I've always thought the rookie dinner kind of marked the end of hazing period) - bullying is targeting an individual for abuse. Seems pretty clear Martin was a "special project" for Incognito given the surprise by the Dolphins.
Funny thing - on NFL sunday all the Fox people were wearing Stomp Out Bullying pins.

Sheesh ... how 'bout if that fuck-stick who'd harassed him had, you know, not harassed him?

He is obviously a bully and if Martin walked in and cracked his skull with the crown of his helmet, he may not get knocked out, but he'd likely turn his attention to bullying the kicker.

That's the bottom line - bully punks can exist because nobody stands up to them -- the first time someone does, they turtle up and become pusses.

Nah, he is in a business where violence is necessary to survive.

I can see being afraid of Incognito. Even as big as Martin is, Incognito is batshit insane, always has been.

Just because someone is 6-foot-6, 325 pounds doesn't mean he's not meek. Many of the biggest guys tend to be the most meek.

And that extends to the locker room?

    Please.

Do you think soldiers go around clocking each other in the head with helmets, rifles, etc., etc.?

Maybe the next soldier to feel fucked with should go "Full Metal Jacket" on his tormentor. After all, it's a profession where violence is necessary to survive ...

I disagree - this incognito asshole is the kind of guy who most of the people who "follow his lead" are praying for the day when someone does step up and whip his ass.

If Martin crowned the motherfucker he'd probably have gotten free steak dinners from his teammates for a week....

Stop comparing soldiers to football players, it is not even a close comparison.

But street justice - a guy getting his ass whupped in the locker room - happens far more often than you think and it is how you keep law and order

Philadelphia Eagles back in the mid-90s were unmerciful to this kid (Michael Samson) out of Grambling. He had some type of speech impediment and the players used to wear him out telling him to get the c--- our of his mouth and worse whenever he spoke. They kept on him about it for weeks until he finally blew up and it settled down after that.

Between that, Ray Rhodes talking about one of the rookie DBs and his bleeding p-----, and Joe Vitt talking about his own one testicle it was quite the environment.
