Yeah, I'm going to be really curious if the Dolphins put him on the list where he gets paid or the one where he doesn't. I'm guessing he gets paid every cent. They don't want to piss him off any more than they already have.

Martin sounds like the kind of guy who really doesn't have the stomach, chops or stones to be an NFL player but does it because at his size he has always pushed into being a football player so I am sure the best thing that could happen to him is he sues the Dolphins for failing to provide a safe working environment and some politically correct lawyer specializing in helping whiners beat the system takes up the case and gets him a big settlement so he can get on with his life's work.

How do we know Martin didn't have a go at Incognito at some point?

The old "if you fight the bully, he'll stop" cliche doesn't always hold true.

This is so presumptuous it's hard to keep from spraying my Diet Coke. How are you arriving at these incredibly specific conclusions with like, no information.

I think if Martin would've approached him, we'd be where we are presently.

    When does Incognito get arrested?

Does anyone here believe that Martin left the team over racial slurs and threats made this spring?

I don't think anything even remotely close to the truth is out there on this one.

You've made several reference to this. Why don't you just say it if you feel that strongly.

As an aside, you sound a hell of a lot like the reporters you're making fun of for saying they have the "inside scoop."

Once again, this comes down on the asses of the coaching staff. Whether Incognito likes it or not, the front office thinks Martin has potential to be good and spent a high draft pick on him. If Incognito or anybody else is doing anything to fuck that up, it is the job of the coaching staff and front office to come down with the shit-hammer of hell and put an end to it.

I believe it. I don't necessarily think that Martin is gay, if that's what you're getting at. (Remember, you were the last holdout in the "Manti Te'o is gay" camp, as well.)

I think it's a cumulative thing, to be honest. I don't think, at this point, there is some key that unlocks all of this. I think that Martin is an educated, thoughtful guy with successful, well-to-do, probably thoughtful parents. I think that Incognito thinks guys like that are weird pussies. You went to middle school. You know how it plays out from there. He went after him and after him and after him until, finally, enough was enough.

Think about almost every domestic manslaughter case you ever read about. It's always something like, "Woman stabs husband to death in argument over watching 'Modern Family.'" But everyone knows it wasn't really about "Modern Family."

Mizzou's like my co-worker who, anytime a movie star breaks up with his girlfriend or gets a divorce, says it's because he's gay.

I know people like that too. I thought when most of us had gay fantasies, they were about lesbians.
