    How do those six personnel people/players (and what a small sample size that is) know Martin didn't try to handle it man to man before he got to the point of leaving the team?

    Just encourages more Incognitos. Great job guys; way to build men.

    Yeah, just fight that's the best way to deal with bullying. Worked out well for all of the massacres in the past 20 years in America right? Wait, that's right, they didn't fight back the RIGHT way.

    Martin, does nothing wrong, does nothing to bring attention to himself, yet you rail against his reactions and add exactly zip to criticize Incognito. That's what's led to this "culture of pussification"; not those who "coddle" the victims. Also, I guarantee you that the vast majority of those who are criticizing Martin's reaction have (1) never been bullied; (2) have never seen the victim fight back and (3)have never seen David beat Goliath ; so everything they say is pure speculation.

    @SI_JimTrotter

    Said one personnel man (who's not alone): "Instead of being a man and confronting him, (Martin) acted like a coward and told like a kid."

    Mike Dikta on Richie Incognito: "I don't know how this guy got this far in life."

    Ditka is pussifying America!

    Well-thought-out take by Tim Keown (and runs counter to the horseshit Trotter is parroting):

    QT, I hear you. I was bullied and I've been a bully. Neither way is fun. But I will tell you this, had Martin stood up to him, even if he got his ass kicked, he would have more respect from his teammate than what I can see that he's receiving now.

    I suppose all you guys applauded Marcus Williams for standing up to Romanowski 10 years ago. All it cost him was a broken face and his career.

    When those guys punch, it has force. It isn't like one of us.

    I applauded Kwame Harris for standing up to his friend for pouring soy
    sauce over a plate of rice. I mean who does that. The amount of
    soy sauce used is a very personal choice.

    Hey, you win a few, you lose a few. That fight could've easily gone the other way. The point I'm making is Martin is a big boy and while I applaud what he did because it took guts, he still should've kicked Incognito's ass.

    I've been bullied as well; its something I will never forget, I fought back in 6th grade to a guy from the "other" side of the tracks, got my ass whipped but I stood up to him and I have no regrets. But did I change the culture? No. That's what I'm talking about, not just the individual Martin v. Incognito battle. Most of the dialogue is about the micro-level; I'm saying until you start thinking about changing the macro-level dynamics; it doesn't change. There will just be another Incognito waiting around.

    I implore people, don't bury your heads and accept this as inevitable. There is a real opportunity to teach others here, think that way; tell the bullies its unacceptable behavior, tell those who stood on the sidelines, its not acceptable.

    I've got no problem with what you're saying. But sometimes, you've just got to kick a little ass, ya know what I mean?
