Outside of Cameron Wake and Dustin Keller, can anyone point to a vet who could possibly have some common sense? My big question to Wake, who went to Penn State, would have been where were you for all of this shit?

Not if you live in Brooklyn.

Apparently, Incognito's been doing this shit at least since college:

Story also contains some interesting comments from former NFL d-lineman Lawrence Jackson, who played against Incognito when he was with Seattle:

Every team has a jackass similar to Incognito. Again, where were Martin's teammates? Were they too busy on South Beach to take a stance? I'm more disappointed in them then I am of the Dolphins' management.

He handled it himself by saying enough is enough.

And by doing so, he has brought more light to the problem than a lunkheaded fight.

Seems to me the Dolphins needed a Code Red on Incognito.

He should have handled it like real men handle things: a lot of bluster and big talk followed by not doing shit.

You know how it goes, Drip. Nobody wants to be the next target. If that means going along, then that's what they do. Just keep the spotlight off of you. I don't remember bullying anybody in junior high, but I don't remember stopping it from happening, either. I was just glad it wasn't me. I distinctly remember feeling that way.

I don't know how alpha males like Incognito get all that power in the first place. You have to be talented, I think, and an on-the-field - or in the office, in the real world - asset to your organization. And you have to be a bit of a risk-taker who is willing to get in trouble for this behavior, because it does happen.

Isaiah Kacyvenski, former NFL player from Harvard, says players with elite degrees are bullied regularly. “This is a wakeup call for a lot of people. I was made fun of for a lot of reasons. Only in the NFL can a Harvard degree have negative consequences.”
