Jonathan Martin and the Miami Dolphins

I don't see how Philbin and the GM survive this. It's pretty evident they were trying to run interference for one of their "leaders," to the point where they reached out to Martin's family and vouched for how wonderful Incognito is. There's no way the Dolphins suspended him without much coaxing from New York.

The GM is Jeff Ireland, formerly known as the guy in the Dez Bryant flap. A nepotism hire who has already shown he is far out of his depth as an NFL executive.

You have to think that Philbin would have some heightened sensitivity to
    young players in crisis.

Anybody who thinks this is over rookies getting stuck with paying tabs is an absolute fool.

Would love to hear Harbaugh's take. He recruited Martin for Stanford and turned him into
    an elite college OT.

Definitely this. This would be the best-case scenario for the Dolphins right now, and forgive me if I don't trust what they say right now, given how they've stood by and let this happen, then bumbled the message over the last week.

I think we all can come up with a possible central theme this could be about.

He's probably pissed this happened after the trade deadline.

The reporting on this has been bordering on smug, with almost every reporter implying, "We know the whole story, but we can't tell it to you..."

Mike & Mike were doing this all morning. I just came to this thread to post this. It was obnoxious. Either report it, or STFU. Stop tantalizing us with how in-the-know you are compared to us plebes.

Fox now saying Incognito, who comes from the Aaron Hernandez School of Being a Moron, sent Martin threatening voice mails and texts.

    Has anyone said that?
