Ahh they were just practicing football. Because, ya know, football is a game of intimidation.

 

The Big Lead got hold of about 1,000 texts from Martin to Incognito. They're not favorable to Martin's image of a choir boy. Lots of typical stuff you might expect from rich 20-somethings in Miami about partying and women, plus some seemingly friendly exchanges after everything started to blow up. Eventually, Martin just stops responding.

I wonder how the shield feels about Incognito's team firing up its PR machine, during Super Bowl week no less, and leaking these texts.

 

Does anyone think it bespeaks a certain status to send another man thousands of text messages?
Incognito is a pig of a person, but these texts fairly redeem his chances of playing and starting again.
The allusion to drug use will get some investigation.

 

I still don't see what Incognito was suspended for. Clearly the media and
The Dolphins overreacted.

 

The texting is a generational thing. Seems crazy to me, but I'm 40.

I'm very curious if Incognito and/or Martin will be in the league next season.

 

I don't think they had any choice given the information available at the time.

 

I guess we'll learn in report that is suppose to come out later in week, but
other than Martin accusations and media witch hunt what information was there?

 

They may have suspended him just to get rid of the distraction.
