Every few weeks, Boom, you seem to get restless and attempt to amuse yourself with the game of gotcha where you try to catch some alleged liberal dilettante in an act of alleged hypocrisy. It has become as boorish as it is predictable. With every publication in the country shrinking the amount of space they are willing to dedicate to the simple act of good journalism, a writer would be wise to take advantage of every opportunity avaliable to him. If ESPN the Magazine is going to print 11,000-word stories, then we're all richer for it.

DD let me point out that you seemed have enjoyed some of "they alleged acts of hypocrisy" that I have pointed out over the years.

I recall you jumping in with both feet on my Tom Verducci / Roger Clemens thread.

Wait ... are you shooting down my point about your love of pointing out supposed hypocrisy by calling me on an act of supposed hypocrisy? This is so meta, it's making my head hurt.

I presume there are no shades of grey, only black and white.

You folks are really taking this the wrong way. The fact that Jones does not fit in ESPN the mag should be viewed more as a compliment than a slight. I doubt you will ever see Meryl Streep show up on My Name is Earl.

In this economy, Boom, you never know.

Yeah, I can't understand why people would take this the wrong way.

Yeah, I can't understand why people would take that the wrong way.

BTW: On a completely unrelated note, CJ's piece was brilliant.
