Not only did that suck (and I say this as a perceived enemy), but it sounds like it came straight out of the I Happened To Make It To My Humanities Lecture For A Change And Jotted Down A Few Lines That Will Make Me Sound Really Smart and Enligntened At The Bar This Weekend column generator machine.

 

Man, I really wanted to like that. What a whiff. How do you bust into first person snark like that without a byline?

 

I think we've all done stuff like that when we were young.
When whoever wrote that gets older, they'll realize what a hack move it was.

Definitely. But I expect more from the IDS. That's a high school move at best.

 

I can see the similarity in our double chins, and our whiny bitchiness, and our general sleepiness, and our luxuriant hair, and the parallel slopes of our shoulders, and our low neck-to-head ratio, and our shared lists of long-distance enemies, but after that, I see no comparison.

 

I've talked to classes at Indiana before, and like 21, I have to say, I'm surprised someone there wrote this. I hope a prof or adviser takes them aside and explains to them just how dumb it is. I took better jabs in tweets.
