The scene with Boyd, the guy who owed him money and Boyd's old MP pal-turned-henchman was lazy writing at the end. Telling someone "take care of..." somebody was too intentionally vague, done so it could be used the way it was. [Trying to minimize spoilers here.]

Shooting the airbag was great. Solid start to the season.

    Loved the airbag scene too.

Need more hot blonde bartender chick.

Doesn't look like we will be seeing Limehouse or Dickie Bennett this year. But Winona will make an appearance. (Fixed - I need to stop posting before I go to bed)

But I'm a big fan of some of the character actors they do have lined up.

  5. Not a lot of Winona though.. She has a big role in some Fox show (The Following maybe?) with Kevin Bacon. Saw her in the previews while I was watching Justified.
I am gonna miss those tight skirts!

Like how they used some of "The Bluegrass Conspiracy," to help set up the season. Tremendous book, if you have not read it.

Liked the start to the season. Wasn't expecting Arlo to slice that guy's neck though. Even senile, Arlo is a mean SOB. Like that the season is going to be more of a mystery than just the bad guy of the season-style setup.

And I agree, more hot bar owner girl.

Sepinwall pointed out in his review that earlier in the episode Hiram said it can be tough for regular people to know exactly what Boyd means the way he phrases things. It actually didn't dawn on me that Boyd could have meant kill him until I heard the gunshot.

I'm curious to see where they are going with Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show and I'm thinking we are going to see more of the sexy bounty hunter considering the real-life Bluegrass Conspiracy had the parachuter drop in Tennessee.

I like this. A love triangle between Raylan and the two hot chicks conclude an awesome season finale.

This was a great start. I loved the air bag scene, and Boyd's shock when his MP buddy shot Hiram. Didn't think of it as lazy writing at all. Enjoyed Patton Oswalt a lot more than I expected. I like him as a comedian but wasn't sure he could pull this off. So, I'm kinda slow, but the parachute incident in the opening, was that supposed to be a younger Arlo?

  10. I don't think so. The parachute guy looked dead.

NO, I mean the guy who was getting the paper and found the parachute guy. I am guessing that is where the mysterious bag came from?

  12. No, the guy who found the body wasn't Arlo.
