Read an interview with the producers that said they had to cut some dialogue with Ava saying that she was doing it herself so she'd be the only person alive who knows where it is, since Ellen May knowing where it was originally caused to much trouble

    Jimmy,
You're having a little trouble with that quote function. You're attributing Bamadog's words to me.

Finally had some free time this weekend and today, so I was able to catch up on the show finally. I think my favorite parts of Justified is how it defies expectations at time. A normal show probably would have had the Winona, Raylan and Detroit thugs showdown last the entire episode. Instead, I was delightfully shocked when she and Raylan shot the shit out of all four of those guys.

The only part I didn't like about the "deal" Raylan cut with the Detroit mob was that he didn't ask for them to do it when he was out of earshot. I guess maybe he didn't care, or maybe he wanted to hear it go down, but given the method of execution I doubt the new (pussy) mob boss was going to hide the body anyway, since he wanted to show that he was now the sole guy in power.

As far as Wynn goes, he's so god damn great. I like that he's wonderfully self-preservationist and opportunistic - One of my favorite parts of the season was when he just decided to run with about four episodes left. I think his spiritual kin on the show, in an odd way, is Limehouse. Both of them do evil things, but not to the extremes of other characters.

Boyd and Ava... Maybe it's just the performances or the writing or something, but something just seems off. It's tough for me to buy completely into their Greatest Love of All-Time story. I'm for it in general, but I'm not as completely sold on that storyline as other things going on on the show.

There ought to be a reward for "guest star" of the year. I'm always amazed how many of my favorite shows book the same guest actors, whether its Jere Burns, Mike O'Malley etc. My pick for the current season would be Gerald McRaney for House of Cards, Southland and Justified.

Mike O'Malley has had this weird super resurgence in the past couple years, between Justified and Glee. Both parts he just kills it in. Hard to believe he stated out hosting Nickelodeon's GUTS and doing bits for MTV.

    Wasn't O'Malley also "The Rick"?

I told somebody I was from Boston and they started in with Buckner this and Buckner that. I just wanted to say, hey, you know, those that have not committed errors, you throw the first stones. If not, leave the man alone, and leave me alone. Let it go.

Which had a fantastic season finale last night. Is that show discussed on any other threads?

  12. Jim Beaver didn't so much count as a guest on Justified this season, but he normally would, along with being the gun dealer on Breaking Bad and the dad on Dexter, although Dexter mostly sucks now.
