Good use of the sarcasm color. WTEM didn't drop ESPN Radio as much as ESPN bailed when it could get more clearance on Snyder's stations. I listened to one of the shows on Triple X a few months ago and had to turn the drivel off after about two minutes.

Also rumors (via the www.dcrtv.com link provided by Headbutt) that Snyder is trying to buy 103.9/104.1 in Washington, which finally would give him a legit full-market signal.

Thing is, Triple X doesn't have the coverage that WTEM does. It has three mickey mouse frequencies that cover different parts of the area, and not all that well. Rumor has it ESPN has told Snyder to get a better signal or else they're bailing.

Snyder's deal with that other station is apparently dead. They just flipped it to "george" which is just like jack, bob, and all the other jerkoff radio watered down so much. But since it's going 104 days without commercials, and without any dj's or anything, the deal can get going again sometime I guess. But Snyder is in a bit of a pickle, and has already had to lay people off from his, ahem, empire.

Bonneville definitely is operating from a position of strength. They have Snyder over a barrel, and he'll pony up the cash. When hasn't he?

He was about to pay double the value for that station, then laid a bunch of people off, and then decided he was paying too much and backed off. Everything he's touched has turned to shit.

He's gonna end up paying somehow. He needs a bigger flagship for the Skins.

I suppose if Tony blasted an athlete, he wouldn't be upset if the athlete refused to grant him any interviews afterward?

Farhi had a chat on WashingtonPost.com Tuesday afternoon. Here is how he ended it:

Tony is a tremendous talent, and that's intolerably chickenshit behavior. Does the Post think it helps their image to have a star performer strike such a girly-man pose?

sorry if i'm a stupid ignorant dumbass for asking this question but did i miss something about mr. tony's status on MNF? do we assume he's back for another year despite mediocre ratings?

i like tony a ton but he should be smacked hard for his treatment of farhi.

Everything that's been reported says he'll be back on MNF. But his radio show has such a great reputation, especially in this town, that he can be a part timer and get away with it.

And I like Tony a lot too. He was good to me for a project once in college, a very nice guy with good advice and everything. But it seems like success is making him very diva-ish.

I have two words for you, ondeadline. Die. Now.

I could have gone the rest on my life without having to think about that bullhorn supported by 11 chins and a 300 pulse. He may be the worst person in sports journalism history.
