That doesn't answer why you still think he is damn good today.
What quarterback hasn't thrown less interceptions than Brett Favre?
If this is your argument it's pretty piss poor

Im not even sure McNair is the best quarterback on his own team these days. Hard to throw when it looks like you have multiple hernias and knees like the Tin Man.

Everyone and anyone who continues to lambaste Eli for not being good or whatever - I just don't understand it.
This guy does nothing but lead his teammates and win games.
Sure, he doesn't win them all.
But this guy can make all the throws, he can galvanize a unit, he can win football games.
He will, in the end I believe, have his couple of Super Bowl appearances and a gaudy won-loss record.
    He's a winner.
Those who can't see that are likely the same folks who can't see the greatness in Reggie Bush.
let's have this "Eli" discussion in a few years. You all will see how it shakes loose.
And it will legitimize Eli 10 times over.

And if he hadn't been Peyton's brother, he'd have gone much lower?
    Bullshit !

Pro scouts have analyzed this guy and they see the greatness in him.
    Tony K. will soon, too.
    Watch and see.

I'm still waiting to see if anybody has an opinion on who is the fourth-best quarterback in the NFL after Manning, Brady and Palmer. Anybody?

It's got to be Mcnair he's thrown less interceptions than Favre.
Right now I would say it's Favre or Romo. There's a lot of mediocrity out their. I would have said Brees going into this year and he may still turn it around

I would have said Brees before the season, too, but not right now.

I can see Romo, though has he played a full season of games yet? The playoff resume doesn't help.

I still wonder how much Favre has in the tank and how many big mistakes he will make as the season goes on.

Anybody else who should be in consideration. What got me thinking was somebody definitively saying Roethlisberger is not No. 4. I have a hard time putting him that high after the crappy 2006 season he had no matter how sharp he has looked in 2007. But I am also having a hard time coming up with a definitive answer to who does belong there.

I'm surprised at the low regard for Rivers. If the DB simply falls on the ball, Rivers beats Brady in a huge playoff game. This year he lost his coach, OC and DC, then gets stuck with Norv. Rivers is going to be fine.

Found it interesting checking out the passer ratings this week. Eli's just behind Rivers, but they are both looking up to Damon Huard and Derek Anderson. And David Garrard is no. 5 overall!

Which is why passer rating is such shit, especially this early in the season when the sample size is so small.

Garrard, for example, is that high only because he has not thrown any interceptions. He has been decent, but I don't see anybody putting him up near the top of their QB lists.

The Giants have the #2 ranked offense in the NFC, behind the Cowboys. Eli deserves credit for playing well enough to get the Giants offense playing well. He's played hurt and his team was down 0-2 and has won 4 straight. Individual stats are great, but his team is doing well and he's a big readon why.

He was playing well when they were losing, too. The defense is what has improved.

And Manning is still getting a lot of help from Burress playing out of his mind so far. He has actually showed up for six consecutive weeks, which I think is a record for Plax.
