I still want to know what was on that computer. I also want to know why he thought getting rid of the computer would get rid of something - particularly an e-mail. Sounds like the guy was not real bright in addition to his other "attributes."

So what's the excuse for the underprivleged who commit crime?

    Dear kindly Sergeant Krupke,
    You gotta understand,
    It's just our bringin' up-ke
That gets us out of hand.
    Our mothers all are junkies,
    Our fathers all are drunks.

    Gee, Officer Krupke, we're very upset;
We never had the love that ev'ry child oughta get.
    We ain't no delinquents,
    We're misunderstood.
Deep down inside us there is good!

    Dear kindly Judge, your Honor,
    My parents treat me rough.
    With all their marijuana,
They won't give me a puff.
    They didn't wanna have me,
    But somehow I was had.
Leapin' lizards! That's why I'm so bad!

    Officer Krupke, you're really a square;
This boy don't need a judge, he needs an analyst's care!
It's just his neurosis that oughta be curbed.
    He's psychologic'ly disturbed!

    My father is a bastard,
    My ma's an S.O.B.
    My grandpa's always plastered,
    My grandma pushes tea.
    My sister wears a mustache,
    My brother wears a dress.
    Goodness gracious, that's why I'm a mess!

Officer Krupke, you're really a slob.
This boy don't need a doctor, just a good honest job.
Society's played him a terrible trick,
    And sociologic'ly he's sick!

    Dear kindly social worker,
They say go earn a buck.
    Like be a soda jerker,
Which means like be a schumck.
    It's not I'm anti-social,
    I'm only anti-work.
    Gloryosky! That's why I'm a jerk!

    Eek!
Officer Krupke, you've done it again.
This boy don't need a job, he needs a year in the pen.
    It ain't just a question of misunderstood;
Deep down inside him, he's no good!

Krupke, we got troubles of our own!

    Gee, Officer Krupke,
    We're down on our knees,
'Cause no one wants a fellow with a social disease.
    Gee, Officer Krupke,
    What are we to do?
    Gee, Officer Krupke,
    Krup you!
    Golly Moses, natcherly we're punks!

Perhaps exposing my tech ignorance here, but would deleted e-mails only be traceable on the hard drive of the machine used to erase them?

I wouldn't think so. Can't you just go into a library and look up your g-mail? The "trash" folder stays active for a while, I think. I could be wrong. I know damn sure the police can get to them.

I think emails are stored in a server and not on your computer.

He could have been going after pictures, or he might have tried deleting her facebook account?

A great take from Jon Wertheim at SI.

The AP covered the UVA-Towson women's lacrosse match with a syrupy feature that ran on the sports wire.

Could get a bunch more information today on this. Documents related to police search likely to be unsealed today.

This has nothing to do with Huguely being rich and white. It's just that he isn't poor and black.

Figure the guy had top-notch lawyers. Not a surprise. Probably be a different story if it was a public defender.
As long as the DA doesn't drop it down to a misdemeanor like that prosecutor in Aspen did for that hedge fund manager, because, you know, felony convictions have serious consequences for people in that line of work.
