    Always jarring to me when I see something like this and see that he was 53. Seriously? Wham was big when I was in high school, and dude was only four years older than me?!?

    "Faith" was tough to follow. When he came out with the next album, it wasn't nearly as good.

    Just saw that he was 17 when he wrote "Careless Whisper."

    Was going to say how impressive that is... but "Careless Whisper" has arguably the worst lyrics in music history.

    His next one was far different. LWJ didn't have the pop success. It was about a man tired of playing the sexy hunk role. A gay man still closeted in that era. He sings of lost love, repenting. It's pretty damn deep. I consider it a masterpiece.
