The Devine portrayal in "Rudy" reminds me of how Virgil Grissom's Mercury mission was depicted in "The Right Stuff." Total bull.

Had never watched "Weekend at Bernie's" until a couple of days ago. It's ridiculous, of course, but Terry Kiser's portrayal of a dead man was pretty funny. BTW, is it just me or does Kiser bear a resemblance to Joey Silvera? ;D

    I enjoy this, as well.

Me, too. And in the credits of sports movies, I always look for former athletes listed as either extras or technical consultants.

Saw Guardians for the second time last night. Just as good as the first viewing.

Today's my last day off before getting mashed by football, so I took in "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Now, I've got to find a way to watch it again. Great fun.

Star Wars is still the only movie I have ever seen more than once in the theaters and it will remain that way, but I will definitely watch Guardians of the Galaxy again once it is out on DVD. I saw it without little OOP and I think she'd really enjoy it.

Next up for me is the one Marvel Studios film I missed along the way, Thor: The Dark World.

I wasn't geared up for Guardians (never read the comics, so I'm not very familiar with it), but with all the hubbub, I'll probably check it out. Like the original, Thor: The Dark World was pretty uninspired.

Thor worked really well in the Avengers, but his solo films have left me flat.

'Guardians of the Galaxy' looks terrible to me, but I'm sure I'll watch it when comes out on DirecTV.
I read that comic when I was little, but the team was completely different.
    And that comic was weird.

Agree with you on Thor. Maybe it's just because you can see Portman rolling her eyes and holding her nose in certain scenes before she remembers the paycheck she's getting though.

Just finished watching it and I see what you are talking about. Still an entertaining movie. As I had heard all along, the best parts are the interactions between Thor and Loki and it takes a while to get to those.

Portman is a great actress who doesn't belong anywhere near blockbusters. Her heart isn't in those roles. She deserved every bit of kudos she earned for "Black Swan" and she looked like a high school drama understudy in "Star Wars."
