Watched a few episodes of The Addams Family TV series tonight and marveled at the genius of John Astin.
He is maniacal in that role.
There was a great bit with a newspaper reporter.
The reporter said, "I'm Brown, from the Sun."
Astin looks him over and replies, "I'll say you are."
The show was produced by Nat Perrin, the writer of "Duck Soup" and a friend of Groucho Marx.
I think Perrin saw the same anarchic brilliance in Astin as he saw in Groucho.

I went into Let's Be Cops with low expectations and the movie vastly exceeded those expectations. Let's Be Cops is hilarious. One of the funniest movies I've seen this year - best comedy since 22 Jump Street (which was hilariously genius). Even Rob Riggle is actually good in Let's Be Cops.

Great to hear this. In the previews I saw, it looked hilarious, but... thanks for the heads up. Will be seeing it.

Went with my boy last night and it was really fun (yeah I'm a sucker for 70's bubble gum pop); no idea what the characters were going to be, knew it was Marvel, that's it; and told my boy that did not seem like a superhero movie at all. Nice writing.

The wife and I have been ripping on this trailer every time we see it. We keep joking that we should've taken a few days off work and camped out for tickets to the premiere to make sure we got them.
And, no, there's no way I'm ever actually going to see it either.

I feel terrible for the film critics who actually had to watch it.

Anyone here besides me see this one, yet?

I saw it. I loved it, but I thought it was too long. I was amazed at how seamless it was. I kept forgetting it was shot over such a long period of time. Linklater really lucked out with that kid.

I really liked it as well. Some of the high school stuff dragged a bit, and they could have ended it earlier, but most of my quibbles are minor things. As a whole, it was well executed.

It's fine. The time flies. You'll be sorry if you don't see it.

Went on Robin Williams kick. Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting - "your move, chief" - and Aladdin.
