Rented "Snowpiercer" on Demand; that was an enjoyable ride; a bit long though.

Also, wifey and I both loved "Way, Way Back"; a nice movie from a teen's POV.

Saw "The Drop" this weekend and loved it. Unbelievable tension, great acting and a Dennis Lehane screenplay adapted from his own short story - what's not to love?

Tom Hardy's performance led JR and I to watch "Locke" last night. Again, big thumbs up for a great character unfolded in an interesting way.

HC, don't forget about the star of the movie, The Drop - Rocco. He outshined everyone.
And I agree with you about the movie and posted about it last week how great the acting is in it.

Utterly ridiculous but some of the quick-hitting sight gags were funny. The whole Saddam background was interesting.

This is probably a stupid thing to say just an hour after seeing it, but "Boyhood" might be my favorite film. I was moved time after time by the light touch by Linklater. It was disturbing to see time move so quickly. And an Arcade Fire ending. I was blown away.

I didn't read a single review on the movie and probably won't. I don't know if it's been panned or well-received. I live in a cultural backwater, so it's not something that's ever come up in casual conversation. I just know I love it. It's a document of its time and maybe the most understanding work of the Millennial generation yet produced.

I watched "Locke" the other day. Loved it. Hardy was great.

November Man. Turned off UGA-South Carolina at halftime and went to the theatre instead. The movie was predictable yet entertaining, and unlike the football game it did not disappoint.

Get On Up. Before that, Boyhood.

"Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight" was well cast, especially Christopher Plummer as John Harlan. Frank Langella accurately brought out Warren Burger's ego and bias.

"Ender's Game." Good, but my viewing of it suffered from my knowledge of the book. I wanted more Battle Room.

I really enjoyed Ender's Game. Didn't read the book.
