    "Under the Skin."

Very peculiar, very striking. Really plays to Scarlett Johansson's naturally otherworldly quality.
Will have to watch it again with sound turned up higher - watched it late last night, wife and cats were asleep - to get a better sense of the sound direction, which was mentioned a lot in reviews.

"The Wolf of Wall Street." As others have noted, probably too long. I love sex, drugs and F-bombs as much as the next guy, but they could have cut some of that stuff out and we still would have got the point.

Rob Reiner stole just about every scene he was in ... a certain discussion with DiCaprio's character about, uh, female grooming was hilarious.

Overall, I liked this movie as a dark comedy. Didn't work so well as a morality tale.

'Under the Skin' was really good.

    Did not like 'Lone Survivor'

Glazer's damn good. The director, that is.

    Interstellar.

Grand, makes you feel like you are in space but the ending, can see it from the start or 20 minutes in. That's very relative.

Ultimately, it is a must see movie that isn't very good at the same time. A very peculiar trick for Nolan to have pulled off.

A few of the reviews I have read made this very point.

I saw Interstellar yesterday with the family. I feel it would have been worth a $3.99 rental from Amazon next summer. It was not worth seeing in the theater with the family.

    POTENTIAL SPOILERS WARNING!

I really enjoyed the first act, but it was downhill from there. There were plot holes bigger than a black hole. The dialogue was really awful in some parts (like McConaughey and Hathaway exchange about love, and everything that Matt Damon said). And there were big errors in the science. If you've ever watched Nova, The Universe, Into the Wormhole, etc., you'll likely be aware of them as I was. Nothing survives going through a black hole. A planet couldn't exist that close to a black hole. And wormholes may not even be possible to begin with.

    A silly movie.
Christopher Nolan is convinced U.S. audiences want huge music and crashing stuff all over their movies.
He really has evolved into Michael Bay.

    A Most Wanted Man.

I fell asleep 3 times during this movie.

Against my desires I gave Inception a second viewing to see if I'd hate it as much as I did the first time. Didn't *hate* it *as* much but it still sucked.

It's a movie I stopped telling people I don't like, for fear of being socially shunned. I've rarely been as bored in a theater as I was during Inception.

I'm almost more forgiving of Bay. At least he doesn't pretend his movies are anything other than giant explosoramas. And in a movie like Pain & Gain, I think Bay's sensibilities kinda work.

(I cannot believe I just typed that sentence.)

    Yes- it was terribly boring.
Watching a movie about other people's dreams is as interesting as hearing about them.
