Night on Earth is my favorite Jarmusch film. But, geez, it's a slag to get through the first segment in L.A. with Winona Ryder. It picks up considerably after that.

Saw the Scientology documentary on HBO. I didn't think it was possible, but I've lost even more faith in the human race.

I was disppointed in the Scientology doc.
I didn't feel like it covered much new ground.
I was hoping there would be more in there about the internal class/caste system, job assignments for low-caste members and how they're treated by the high caste members.

Not bad, really, but I thought it could've been better.

I wish the "Going Clear" was a multi-part thing like HBO did with "The Jinx."

Watched "Lucy." It could have been goofier, seems to me. Felt much more paint-by-numbers than "Fifth Element," say.

Took Little OOP to see "Home" today. Nothing amazing, but it was cute. Had some funny moments.

"Interstellar." Rather disappointed. Marvelous to look at, intriguing ideas in play, but the screenplay needed one more polish.

Fast & Furious 7. My guiltiest pleasure is watching those lugs blow up cars and buildings and whatever else gets in the way.

It is fun in the disconnect your brain kind of way.

I really liked this movie...a lot.

But I wish it could become an HBO series...let us see in a series of flashbacks how he became who is he...and see where he goes.

I was HUGELY disappointed in this. The physics nerd in many was hoping for so much more, especially after the filmmakers made the rounds of Science Friday and Wired, talking about all the science behind it. For example, you never really got the feel at the end that Cooper was floating back and forth between branes of the multi-verse.

This could make an interesting series. Not only seeing how he became who he is, but watching the story continue to see where he takes the business - and to what lengths he would go to get the story - would make for excellent weekly viewing. I could it see him becoming someone who "creates" news by causing accidents/deaths and he "just happens" to be the first on the scene.

Watched Dreamgirls for the first time today. Pretty solid musical film, but not what I was expecting - so many devious, backstabbing acts.

I had to look up "branes."
Thank you, I have learned a thing today.
