I can't say I noticed. I glanced up at the rolling credits as I was leaving.

"Twiki"? It wasn't "Twiggy"? I guess my whole childhood I had that wrong.

Twiki -- Maybe that's where Wiki came from! But he/she/it was hard to understand.

Twiki from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century

I saw a trailer online, thought it looked right up my alley. Thanks for you review, I'll check it out sometime.

Hail, Caesar was ostensibly a comedy, but it was pretty damn terrible and unfunny. At least the first 30 minutes, after which I turned it off.

A theater around here is showing Ferris Bueller on Wednesday (It's 30th anniversary). My biggest beef it that it starts at 7 p.m. Should be at 11 a.m. and let all the high school kids cut class to see it. Perhaps throw a parade outside, sing Danke Schoen, etc.

    Another DVD selection: "The Signal."

    What...

    ... the...

... fuck?!?! It's like "Ex Machina" without the slightest investment in character development or the least effort in an interesting plot. But, hey, it's got Lawrence Fishburne and some CGI! Greenlight that sucker!

Well, the places he goes really aren't visible.

I saw that on HBO. By the time of the big reveal at the end of the movie, I was making a furious jacking-off gesture in the direction of my TV. The only people who think that storyline was clever is the writers.

Watched it last night, and here's just a few observations
    1. The settings in this movie are vastly superior. The surfing scene off the coast of France is terrific, the opening motorcycle ride is insanely good, the scenes of them blowing up money in the beginning are great.
    2. The female lead is worlds hotter than Lori Petty.
    3. The dialogue is not even laughably quotable. No, "I am an FBI agent!"
    4. Ray Winston and Delroy Lindo are pretty good actors and they are completely wasted here. They should have been the bad guys, not the euro hipsters who aren't the slightest bit menacing.
    5. I wanted a scene like Anthony Kiedis wigging out on meth and then blowing his toe off with a shotgun
    6. No one ever suspects or even seems to care that Utah might be law enforcement.
    7. Laird Hamilton makes an entertaining cameo, but can't quite surpass his turn as the reckless boat owner who put George Clooney's wife in a coma in The Descendants.
    8. The guy who played Johnny Utah might be a bot
    9. Won't ever watch this movie again.

To be fair, the movie was very true to the character as he has been written in the comics since the mid-90s.

"Something Wild" was also one of Ray Liotta's very first roles.
