Role Models ... typical past-their-prime frat-boy douchebaggery but I laughed my ass off for the last 30 minutes. It was an outstanding denouement, tying all the loose ends up in one big battle.

Really? Other than Ben Foster, who is outstanding, I thought it was campy.

Pineapple Express. Turned it off about halfway through. I didn't get it.

See, I got it, I laughed but I can't say I enjoyed it. I loved Franco's turn as a pothead but apart from that there really wasn't much else to like about this flick. I think the previews made it funnier than it actually was.

Timberlake was very good also. I liked it, but I always like films where I know the true story behind the film.

Unfortunately, I had just paid money to see it in the theater. I still want my $10 back.

yeah. if you look away even for a second or two, it throws your eyes all outta whack. and I'm not sure how much is a problem with my rear-projection tv, but quite a few times the effect just didn't work right. told td I felt like I was a bleary-eyed drunk last night trying to watch that with those silly glasses.

    Donnie Darko.
    Some notes:
    - Third time I've seen it. I like it better each time. Total mind-f**k.
    - Forgot how many "known" actors where in this movie. The little sister plays bratty Rhonda Volmer on Big Love (and is in the straight-to-DVD sequel S. Darko).
    - Drew Barrymore can't act. Awful.
    - "Sometimes, I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion!!!"
    - I don't have high expectations for the sequel, but looking it up on imdb, I see director Richard Kelly at least wrote it, so there's that .... of course, I think Kelly's a one-hit wonder because Southland Tales sucked out loud.
    - EDIT to add: Jenna Malone, I heart you.

    Also saw:
    Get Smart. Got dumb.

How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Oh, Simon Pegg, I SOOOO wanted to like this (and with Kirsten Dunst too), but alas I did not.
