This pisses me off so much.

Batman is a goddamn cash cow. Everything you put the goddamn bat symbol on makes a trillion dollars.

Same thing with Superman. And Wonder Woman.

It should be an idiot-proof concept. And, it's not exactly rocket science.

You have to try really hard to fuck it up as badly as they have.

Went and saw Justice League this morning.

It wasn’t terrible. It also wasn’t as good as The Avengers.

    A couple of observations:

Gal Godot was far and away the bright spot, again. She is otherworldly hot.

Aquaman was only in water for like three minutes. That was annoying. Also would’ve liked more of his back story.

Flash and Cyborg were really well done.

I thought it was pretty obvious which scenes were Snyder’s and which ones they reshot with Joss Whedon.

Henry Cavill just isn’t a good actor.

Ben Affleck just isn’t a good Batman.

Justice League was fine. Some jokes. Some action. Not much in the way of character development or plot, but that probably helped keep the runtime at 2 hours flat, which I appreciate more.

I like Affleck as Batman. I’m in the minority there, but I don’t tire of him in the obligatory brooding scenes as quickly as I did with Bale.

Saw this Saturday and thought it was amazing. Agree on the Oscar nominations and could see Woody as well; bit more understated than the other two but also outstanding.

I can attest that SJ.com handles are a notable exception to this rule.

Ladybird was a worthwhile movie. The lead was captivating; some good sub-plots. Very poignant.

Rewatched "Aliens" this weekend for a bit. Boy was that a good flick. Bill Paxton (may he RIP) stole scenes.

    Bad Moms 2, last night.

I'm not going to say you'll get smarter watching it. But it was quite fun.

"The Big Short," an account of the mortgage/housing bubble collapse in the late 2000s.

A moving I found more interesting than entertaining ... especially the several cameos to help explain how big-time banks schemed to sell high-risk mortgages.

"Wolf on Wall Street" was a much more entertaining look at scumbag financial cheaters.

Margin Call was amazing. Did a great job explaining the situation, but even better than that, explained the mindset and "the world" of those involved.
