Any movie has to establish its own internal logic and credibility; however, its seems more as if the issue is being concerned about believability going into the movie.
Qtlaw says he was concerned, before seeing the movie, about believing an African nation could possess futuristic tech.
QYFW responded to point out that it seems illogical to be concerned, before seeing the movie, about the believability of a super hero movie; it likely being understood by all potential audience members that a super hero movie requires suspension of disbelief and that a good movie will earn such suspension.

I meant the hiding of futuristic things in Africa hidden from the rest of the world.

Watched "When We First Met" on Netflix, a romantic comedy that wasn't half bad. And now I've met my quota in that genre for the year.

I had the exact same reservations Black Panther going in: alien stuff? In Africa! Come on ...

Teen gains superhuman abilities as result of bite from radioactive spider = I can buy that
Advanced technology in Africa = no way!

Dewey Cox has to think about his whole life before he plays.

I just got back from seeing Black Panther with my daughter. We both enjoyed it, though neither of us was blown away.

The logic regarding Wakanda works just fine and it is pretty much what I expected. The story is a good one and the cast is excellent. Michael B. Jordan really is outstanding in the movie. He's one of the better antagonists I've seen in the MCU. Sterling K. Brown is great in a small, but important role. Danai Gurira plays another badass and she does it well. I know the little sister is supposed to be the scene-stealer, but I really liked Winston Duke's work as M'Baku.

For those who haven't seen it yet, there is a mid-credits scene and a post-credits scene. They are both worth waiting for, though somewhat predictable.

I don't know if we'll go see this or wait until it is available to watch at home.
But I really think it is time to stop the post-credit scenes. Just played out.

They've always been annoying, but they aren't going anywhere, at least not as long as people stay to see them.

  11. We didn't stay. Saw the mid-credit scene (boring!) and left.

The second one was the better of the two, but both add something to the story.
