"The Chumscrubber" -- a fascinating tale of suburban dysfunction and a frank look at how drugs like Ritalin and such completely sterilize youth and rob them of emotion, turning them into numb automatons. Good movie.

TCM is having an Ingmar Bergman festival tonight and I watched about half of the Seventh Seal. I need to watch the rest (beginning) of it, it kicked ass.

Saw Four Weddings and a Funeral for the first time. Seeing Hugh Grant on his game is a thing of beauty. A lot of it was sooo telegraphed, but the interplay among the circle of friends had such warm humor and heart.

Also saw Taken. You also knew how that one would end, but it was a mindless kick seeing Liam Neeson become Superman.

agree with Taken. LM is intense gives it his all in a popcorn movie, you know the ending but love the kick ass to get there.

Finally saw Sideways. Liked it more than I thought I would, but fuck I hate a movie with no closure.

Strangely, that's the one I remembered most from my childhood. I think I was fascinated by Voyager surviving so long.

And Collins wasn't the only 7th Heaven star who started in the Star Trek world. Catherine Hicks, the mother, was in Star Trek IV (the whale one).

I've gone to the store several times over the past few months and saw that movie and was tempted to pick it up. I'll check it out one day.

It's OK, not great, not terrible. Ryan Phillippe is pretty good.

I'll post this in advance because my hardcore insomnia is kicking in and I probably won't be online until after, but I'll be seeing "The Hangover" tonight.

It looks like I won't be able to stop laughing during that one.

As will I. Looks very promising: good reviews for a raunchy comedy, solid cast, funny trailer. Curious to see how this does at the box office because it has nice buzz and strong pre-release ticket sales.

I also plan on checking out "Drag Me To Hell" at some point this weekend.
