Saw Wall-E last night. Highly overrated.

Hell, Nic Cage has a bunch of those for me -- National Treasure and The Rock. Man, I can watch those every day (and do, when TBS gets a hold of 'em.) Face/Off, too.

Con Air ain't one of them.

I loved The Rock. Ed Harris is one of my favorite actors.

It's anything but 93 minutes of sustained greatness, but it has its moments.

Jerry Herman music is NOT a positive, however.

Wall-E sucked. I tried to get into it, but couldn't.

Up is also colossally overrated. It looks great, but there's barely a laugh in the last hour of the film.

I'm the same way with National Treasure. I don't care how ridiculous the plotline is, I always enjoy it. The other night I watched the second one for the second time and enjoyed it as well.

When TCM had its Ingmar Bergman festival the other night, I DVR'd several of his movies. Persona, Hour Of The Wolf and The Passion Of Anna.

I blearily (after a marathon day of assignments on Saturday) watched Hour Of The Wolf in its entirety and skimmed through The Passion Of Anna.

All I have to say is that Bergman's movies exhilarate me and make me feel stupid all at once.

I had a mild nightmare about Hour Of The Wolf, even though there's not really any nightmarish images in it. It was the vibe.

I saw "The Hangover" earlier this afternoon. It was a good, funny movie, but not the rolling on the floor kind of laughing I expected.

I'd suggest it for those considering it.

It was more of the tears running down the face sort of comedy for me. Especially the credits.

WALL-E is one of the few films I've seen with my grade-school-aged kids in the theater that I actually enjoyed.

Of course, part of the reason for that is I'm a certified "2001" nerd, and there were shades of Kubrick's classic sprinkled throughout WALL-E.

    The Wrestler.

I'm taking a few minutes before going to the gym to see if the desire to drive into oncoming traffic dissipates.
