Eighth Grade. As excellent as the reviews made it out to be. And plenty of lessons folks of any age to glean on the dangers of getting too attached to the artificial online lifestyle.

Why take a risk instead of just watching “Election” again?

Well then, the movie isn’t quite completely up to date with the 21st Century. Oh well.

Something I saw on another board last night that I didn't pick up on when I watched, but makes some sense:

Did Sartain cause the bus crash to set Michael loose and observe him "in the wild?"
It makes sense given his later heel turn, and with how he got onto the bus at the last minute, but it wasn't spelled out specifically.

You know, I didn’t think about that. But has to be the case, yeah? It was never really explained but makes total sense.

Saw "Solo" last night and it was quite a bit more fun than I expected. As expected, Ehrenreich was predictably the worst part of the film (and as the title character that’s a big hole), but he was better than I expected. He nailed a few of Ford’s mannerisms, but his voice, look and charisma were way below par.

It was great to see a lot of Chewie in more of a lead role and Glover was the highlight as Lando (please give us a Lando movie, please, please, please!).

I think the film had terrible buzz going before its release because of change in director and major reshoots, along with the reports of Ehrenreich’s acting coach being on set for every scene to help him. But it turned out to be pretty OK. A solid 3.5 stars out of five.

Oh, and I'm streaming "Gladiator" in 4K right now, and my god, does it look incredible.

I'll be curious to find out what you think.
It is not jumpy scare movie. It is not gory, really. Maybe one scene.
It is creepy and dark. It is heavy and foreboding.

I still haven't seen it. I might with a friend on Thursday. I'll report back with my thoughts when I do watch it.
