Little Women. Dragged into this by the gf. Wanted to see 1917.

It was good. The explosions in the theater next door sounded better.

"A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" at my wife's request. I had no idea what was to come and it was a decent story. It's hard for me to deal with Matthew Rhys, who I know from "Brothers and Sisters" and "The Americans." He usually plays a prick as he was this time ... until .......

I enjoyed Ford vs. Ferrari. The preview didn’t excite me but the film was really good.

Soylent Green was on New Year's Day. Man, that was freakin' bizarre. Crackers of the People.

LOL, I didn't even know such a product existed.

Soylent Green was released in 1973 and I saw it as a kid. Freaked me out then, big-time. Years ago, the local grocery store offered bullion (sp?) cubes. Sure, there were the chicken and beef flavors. But it also had "vegetable" flavored ones. The suckers were GREEN! Immediate Soylent Green flashbacks. Almost got sick to my stomach.

I saw the new Star Wars movie today with my 11-year-old (her second time seeing it). It was ... OK, which makes it one of the best of the franchise. I've really come to believe that the whole Star Wars arc is pretty much shit. Way too many examples of, Hey, let's see how many crazy looking characters we can create, and the stories are thin to the point of cheesecloth. Cartoon character villains don't help, either.

There were some interesting special effects in this latest one, but I had no emotional investment into any of the people in the movie.

Everything, including TV shows and movies, since Return of the Jedi has been shit. This "new" trilogy has been nothing but a cash grab for Disney.

I thought Rogue One was really good. Original Star Wars was great for a variety of reasons and Rogue One was a smidge behind.

The Report is good - and depressing. I realize our country will always try and bury its mistakes and move on as quickly as possible to forget they ever happened, whether its torture or the 2008 Wall Street meltdown. There is never accountability. A new President gets elected (or maybe re-elected) and we figure well, that's enough.

Mercury Rising. It was something I just stumbled upon and had not seen. I thought it was OK. Not the best Bruce Willis action performance, but the child actor was very good.
