    In the past week:
    'Seven Samurai'
    'The Reader'
    'Harvey'
    'Defiance'

I liked all of the above except 'The Reader' which I haven't seen.

Well after shipping out some resumes, buying some Fritos corn chips (dollar off coupon, Sweet!) and cashing a natural gas check, I guess I have time to watch it, even if it sucks. I've probably seen worse.

    'The Reader' was pretty good.
    'Defiance' left me pretty flat.
'Harvey' was wonderful. I can't believe it has taken me this long to see it.
'Seve Samurai' was great, but at the risk of blaspheming I have to say it's a little long.

    "Knowing"

    Awful.

Should have known considering Nicolas Cage was the main actor.

Saw The Promotion with John C. Reilly and the three-name guy from the American Pie movies. I'm surprised to say it wasn't totally awful. Lots of cameos. Enjoyable.

Just got done with Five Days, an HBO mini-series done with the BBC. Really quality stuff. A woman and her two kids go missing and the five days featured in each hour aren't consecutive. It's not so much a whodunnit, but it examines the relationships of the cops, the family of the victims and the journos covering it.

    "Friday Night Lights" ... again.

Still can't believe they juiced up the ending for the movie (in real life Permian loses in the Texas state semis, not the championship game).

Across the Universe. I'm confused. I'll have to watch it a couple more times to see if it makes more sense.

    Beautiful to look at though.

I had to watch it a couple of times, too. But wow. Did they ever get some great singers for that movie.
