He is also a bit old to be cast as a new Bond. Elwes is 59. No actor has been first cast in the role in his 50s. Roger Moore was the oldest Bond ever at 57 in A View to a Kill, his seventh and final turn in the role. He was 45 for his first one, the oldest first-time Bond.

I liked him as Bond precisely because of The Princess Bride.

Elwes was perfectly Bond-ian as Westley.

Though I concede it’s probably 20 years too late for him at this point.

I think they go younger - Connery was 32 in Dr. No, Moore was 45ish, Brosnan was 42 for his first (would have been 34 if NBC didn't renew Remington Steele) and Craig was 38. My bet would be on younger than Connery's 32 for the next one. It would be interesting to see Bond's entry into the world, what he did before MI-6, maybe even include some origin stories of the villains.

My pick for the next Bond: Henry Golding

Still looks younger. Also has zero problems with projecting physical menace, even if simply standing there looking at someone.

Not sure I can get the disgrace that was Snake Eyes out of my mind enough to see it.

If he’s at a town painted red, he might not be.

The new Sandler movie is pretty good. He seems to throw together his Netflix movies, but this one - Hustle - is actually well made.

Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent -- the Nicolas Cage movie where he plays Nick Cage -- is pretty good. Funny, good action, great chemistry between Cage and Pablo Pascal. And a young Nicolas Cage (played by a deaged Nicolas Cage) has a couple great scenes.

    Nick Mothafuckingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg Cage!
