Watched "The Core" last night on FX. Pretty cool story, but it's a bit too long for my tastes.

You can't go into it thinking it's a comedy. It's not. Sadly it was marketed as such.

It's a very dark and disturbing portrait of a bi-polar mall security guard.

    I Love You, Man.

I wish Paul Rudd was my best friend. Funny, enjoyable movie.
    Special guest appearance by Rush!

    Just tell me one thing....

There's no random f-n concert in the middle of this movie that does nothing to advance the story is there? Yeah, I'm looking at you, Role Models!

I enjoyed this movie a lot. Paul Rudd is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors. Actually, he's up there. At first I thought Sidney (sp?) was going to scam Pistol Pete. What a great investment.

Yes and no. There is a random concert in the middle, but it does move the story along somewhat.

Thankfully, in this movie, Paul Rudd doesn't sing a crappy improv'd song to the music of "Beth."

Saw Ugly truth. Heigl was far more compelling than she was in 27 Dresses, but far less compelling than she was in Knocked Up. But how did she make her version of the Meg Ryan dinner orgasm scene so uncompelling. Butler was OK, but his soft side was shown way too soon to create much dramatic tension.

Was online at my favorite movie site and they had a news item up that Jessica Biel gets naked in some new movie called Powder Blue. Naturally, when I saw it available to watch instantly on Netflix, I fast forwarded to the parts where the site said she'd be nude (the 1:08 mark and the 1:24 mark).

She's smoking hot but for some reason this flick chose to make her nudity completely unbonerific. She's pouring hot wax on herself in a disturbing strip club scene and you later see her butt but it's accompanied by man ass.

For this reason I refuse to watch the rest of this flick. Damn you Powder Blue! Damn you!

I just read a review of GI Joe, sounds pretty bad.

"Glory Road" ... I got the DVD for Christmas a few years back.

Dang, the shit those black players had to put up with in the 60s.

I just saw I Love You Man... At first I thought it was trying too hard, but in the end, I thought it was really good. Not as funny as The Hangover, but still really good...

I get the most conflicting information on Observe and Report. I know people who swear it's the best movie so far this year and others who swear it's the worst.
