Just finished watching "Observe and Report"

I liked it, but I don't think I would have if I hadn't known how dark it is going in...

Seth Rogen and Anna Faris are two unlikely stars for a movie this dark.

The Hangover is WAY better than Tropic Thunder and I really like Tropic Thunder.

I've gone back and forth on what's funnier Tropic Thunder or The Hangover.

It's definitely close. I think Tropic Thunder is more ambitious and would give it the slight edge.

    Both are tremendous though.

Saw The Orphan today... didn't produce off-the-charts suckage. Interesting twist to it.

Watched "I Love You Man". Sweet movie. A little sappy and a lot awkward but solid overall.

That IS a close one. I'd go with The Hangover, albeit barely. Both are original flicks, but I thought Tropic Thunder got corny at some parts. I can't really say that about The Hangover.

Awesome movie. I found it hilarious and thought Rudd was great. Pretty underrated flick, IMO.

I give the edge to the Hangover because it's the main theme (Bachelor Party in Vegas) has been done a million times yet this flick seemed original from start to finish anyway.

Tropic Thunder's all right. I laughed. But I knew I was being manipulated -- it was quite formulaic, and it petered out, towards the end . . . Analyze This, in a different key, if you know what I mean . . .

    Haven't seen The Hangover, yet . . . yeah, I know . . .

Analyze This is is one of the most overrated comedies ever.

I liked Billy Crystal in When Harry met Sally and thought he was OK in the first City Slickers.

I think he's been insanely unfunny in just about everything else he's ever done, give or take a cameo in Princess Bride.

Several of his movies I would make my "Worst movie I ever saw in a theater" list like "Father's Day", "Forget Paris" "City Slickers 2" "Mr. Saturday Night"

Agreed, although I'm not sure of its current rating, therefore, I cannot say it's underrated.

    Damn good movie, though.

"Zach and Miri," starring one of my former classmates, Elizabeth Banks.

It totally wasn't what I was expecting. I'm not really a Kevin Smith fan, but I still laughed a lot.

I was a little thrown by the setting in Monroeville, Pa., one of my friends' hometowns. I thought all Kevin Smith films were straight out of Jersey!
