I saw The Goods earlier today, I liked it. Enjoyable, funny film.

Caught "Rambo" tonight. Wasn't terrible. "First Blood" is still by far and away the best in the series.

Don't believe for a moment that the money men thought that Mr. Saturday Night would be the least bit commercial.
Suspect it was something Crystal really, REALLY wanted to make, and they humored him.

Here's the trailer to "Whip It" with Ellen Page and Juliette Lewis and Drew Barrymore, and the twisted sister from Arrested Development ...

Saw The Watchmen Sunday. As hero movies go, I liked Iron Man a lot better.

Saw Confessions of a Shopaholic yesterday. Predictable in every way imaginable. I only watched it to see Isla Fisher cavorting around. In that way, it didn't disappoint.

Watched Obsessed with the wife over the weekend. As for the movie itself, meh. As for Ali Larter and Beyonce...wow. And I thought Larter couldn't have looked any better than she did in Varsity Blues. Unreal.

Finally caught "21" last night. Wasn't impressed.

I thought the book it was based on ("Bringing Down the House") was exciting enough, and I don't know why the film producers felt like they had to change so much. But it seems they were absolutely determined to have a "twist" ending where the main character winds up happily ever after.

In all, I found it formulaic and unsatisfying. (That's what she said).

I watched "The Bone Collector" on Sunday. For having Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie in it, it really struggled. Not awful, but I was supremely disappointed. Absolutely loved the book.

Is that that movie where a woman's ex-husband is trying to kill her and only Morgan Freeman can help? On second thought, I might have it confused with about six different Ashley Judd movies ...

I'll eventually see Obsessed only to see the females. Anyhoo, saw Time Traveler's Wife yesterday. Was with two who read the book, and they were let down a bit. I had only Journeyman to compare it to, and I thought it was pretty decent, knowing that it was all prima facie absurd.

Rewatched "Catch Me If You Can." Highly underrated flick.
