Interesting. I thought the movie could have been A LOT better.

Hated the job McConaughey did with it.

oh, i agree the movie could've been much better in many scenes. as a (wanna-be) director, would've done certain things differently.

so what about mcconaughey didn't you like?

i thought his energy was infectuous.

I watched The Hangover online the other day. After seeing it in the theater a few months ago, and loving it, I needed a refresher.

I will be seeing The Informant sometime soon. The book was unbelievable — fascinating, disturbing and hilarious.

re: we are marshall ... how would you have had mcconaughey play the part?

re: the informant ... the preview seems to make the movie look cheesy. i'll give it a go, but i have a feeling i won't like it.

    Katt Williams Live. Just because.

  7. Probably would not have had McCouaughey play the part. period. Didn't like him.
McG gave it an effort, but not one I was crazy about. I covered Marshall U., I know some of the people who attended school when the crash happended. Worked with Dave Walsh, sportswriter in Huntington who played QB for the rebuilt Herd, and was a great admirer of Ernie Salvatore and Chuck Landon, who was a student at MU whent he crash happened.
I havew talked to parents who lost kids in the crash and players who were part of the rebuilding effort.
I was in the press box when they filmed the opening credits, the Charleston Gazette's Doug Smock and Mitch Vingle are in the shot.
Just didn't think the movie did the situation justice in a lot of ways. At least he tried though.

Can't believe I'm so late to the part on this one, but just caught up with "Life as a House."

Just an outstanding piece of work. It's now officially one of my favorites.

Saw Matt Damon on one of the morning shows the other day, and he indicated that he and Soderbergh wanted to play it a little more "straight," but then realized "The Insider" had already been done ...

Kevin Kline with yet another great piece of work.

    And Skywalker was actually palatable.
