    Well played.

Watched Junior Bonner for the first time the other night, the so-called "quiet" Sam Peckinpah movie.

Hell yeah it's quiet, to the point of boredom. I like the theme of families' changing and people changing, but Peckinpah never sticks with it long enough. The acting was good, but something about Robert Preston being an aged rodeo star didn't stick. His delivery just wasn't right.

Just got done with The Proposal - thought it would be a lot better considering the cast, but it was one long cliche. Meet the Parents/Devil Wears Prada/Mama Mia/How to lose a guy in 10 Days complete with not one, but two "big speeches in front of an audience." Would have been a lot funnier if Don DeLilo or Salinger showed up at some point.

Ghost World, featuring SportsJournalists.com favorite Brad Renfro.

Not bad, although Thora Birch and Steve Buscemi sleeping together creeped me out.

Just watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with the Fiancee.

I loved the trailer for this flick, thought it'd be an interesting movie and then I rent it and BAM it's basically a Christmas Carol with vagina instead of holiday cheer.

    Pass.

Your avatar kitty/thing looks a bit like Steve Buscemi. :D

Saw a movie from a few years ago called Heartbreakers with Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt as a mother-daughter con-artist team. Both very hot, but the plot was junk and Jason Lee was the only supporting player who was worth a darn (tho Sarah Silverman was an interesting find in a few scenes...way subdued). The Grifters is the much more compelling choice in this genre.

'Ghost World' is one of a handful of movies that can lend one to believe that movies can cross the line between entertainment and art.

JLH running in a bra on a treadmill and simulating oral makes that movie an instant classic. Classic.

Yeah, about 45 minutes in I Wikipediaed the plot to see how it ended. At least I finished watching...

Did they sleep together in that movie? I don't remember that.
