Where the Wild Things Are - Why exactly did this get glowing reviews again? In a year filled with crap, it's near the middle of the pile of dung.

Invictus - Freeman's Mandela is horrible and the last 20 minutes - the World Cup final - are just a mess of slow motion close ups which does not lend any context as to what is actually happening on the field.

I friggin' loved "Where the Wild Things Are". I thought it captured the spirit of the book and understood what it felt like to see the world from a child's point of view. I enjoyed it much more than "Inglourious Basterds". I think it's just a question of taste, really.

Stayed up late last night and watched "Revolutionary Road" on HBO. Wasn't bad, wasn't great.

Did you and I talk about wanting to see this or was that someone else (Double J, maybe)? Or am I making that all up?

I could have sworn I've had a conversation about wanting to see this movie recently. Hate when that happens.

Almost rented it on iTunes last week; will probably do so soon.

Finally saw The Hangover. Pretty funny, good flick, but not change-the-world funny, which is the vibe one gets after reading all of the breathless comments on it.

Saw Sherlock Holmes tonight. I thought it was great, Downey was fabulous, Law was very good also. They have great chemistry. All in all, a very entertaining film.

I have a feeling they are doing a sequel also.

Saw it tonight, too. I really liked the slow motion setup of a lot of the action sequences. Not a big Downey fan, but I enjoyed this movie.

The slow motion stuff was awesome.

See, I love Downey, he is probably my favorite actor. The preview for Iron Man 2 was pretty cool also.

Finally saw "(500) Days of Summer" (yeah, yeah, 6 months late.)

Wow, was that ever well-struck. Loved the movie cameos, too; "The Graduate" scene was perfectly played.
