She definitely is, but, Jesus, is she the only woman in Hollywood over 45 getting ANY work on the silver screen?

Pirate Radio - Well, the longer UK cut. This thing really had some good moments and didn't deserve all the nasty reviews. Still, though, the script was a bit of a mess and it could've used maybe two or three less characters. As long as you look at it like the fiction that it is (it is not based on anything remotely resembling the truth) I think you'll like it. GREAT soundtrack.

I've seen the UK cut. A ton of fun.
And some of the outtakes are better than anything IN the picture.

One of my favorites. Was watching it on one of the Starz! channels a while back and thought I was seeing a scene I'd never seen before. Then found out they were running a longer director's cut with some deleted scenes. Very enjoyable.

Sandra Bullock is 45-1/2. Does that count? :D

Just watched "The Invention of Lying"

The first half was hilarious. The second half was cheesy and schmaltzy.

Felt the same thing about Ghost Town. I'm a fan of Ricky Gervais, but I don't know if he can fully translate to Hollywood, where you need cheesy crap for American audiences.

    It's still worth seeing. First 45 minutes = A. Last 45 minutes = C+.

Watching Julie and Julia right now.

Very mediocre. I expect more from Streep and Adams.

I think you have to like the former Mrs. Bernstein's general style.

I don't like Amy Adams, but thought
    the thing was terrific.

I saw Julie and Julia a week or so ago and liked it a lot, my expectations were low though. I wish it had more Julia and less Julie. And I like Amy Adams, just didn't like her in this for some reason.

I think more than anything, it was a victim of its advertising campaign. It was presented as though it was a comedy from the branches of the Superbad tree, but it was very rarely funny.

It was really more of a coming of age type of drama. Had that been what I was expecting, I may have enjoyed it more. Instead, I was expecting dick jokes and was sorely (should I really use that word in a sentence with "dick?") disappointed.
