I don't know about that. From all reports, Clooney has a group of very close friends.

Ten, 11 or 12 of them, depending on the movie. ;)

Just caught "Revolutionary Road" on HBO. Like Ebert said, it makes "American Beauty" look downright sentimental, but great performances from Winslet, DiCaprio and Michael Shannon, among others.

Watched Vol. 2 the other night. Much better than the first one.

Also watched Year One this weekend. Completely dumb movie, but I laughed a lot.

Saw "Night at the Museum - Battle of the Smithsonian" on DVD. It was better than the original, which was pretty good. It's neat to see how the historical characters were portrayed. Hank Azaria and Amy Adams (both had more than one role) were particularly good, and the scene in the air and space museum was really, really cool.

Watched Sherlock Holmes last night and feel like I'm going to have to give it another try when it comes out on DVD. Damn thing nearly put me to sleep. Not because it was boring, but because I haven't been feeling well lately.

Liked Downey though. He seemed good.

Well, I think the confirmed bachelor part of it was probably spot on. He's made public statements about not wanting to get married. But yeah, I get the impression that he isn't lonely or disconnected from his family. Seems he's pretty well adjusted.

It could be worse, Clooney could be having actresses sign contracts to become his wife and have his children.

Just watched Up in the Air.

I really liked the performances, but I found the movie to be depressing.

    He is great.

I'll tell you, when he was providing the secondary comic relief in "Back To School," there was nothing at all to suggest that he had the talent he has consistently displayed since then.

    "Pond Hockey," on Hulu.com.

    Uber-fantastic. Loved it.

The commercial breaks were maddening, but hey, free movie.
