Slumdog Millionaire, last night, one year to the day that I was flying to India for a 10-day trip.

Watched Appaloosa last night at the dollar theater ... first 45 minutes were painful. Ed Harris and Renee Zelleweger acted horribly and the whole relationship between the two was completely unbelievable. No chemistry whatsoever. Then Viggo Mortenson saves the movie in the last hour.

Watched a couple last night. "Eagle Eye" had some fun action sequences, but really was nothing special. For the first time since I was a kid, I revisited 1979's "The Black Hole." Incredibly cheesy sci-fi that is really dark in tone for a Disney movie.

I watched Meet the Spartans last night and wanted to gauge my eyes out with a plastic spoon. Worse than I ever could have expected. Friedberg and Seltzer are embarassing themselves.

That pretty much sums up how I felt about that thing. Jeremy Irons was in a whole 'nother movie.

I also watched Wall-E the other night. Very cute. Lived up to the hype for me. Plus anything with Jeff Garlin in it is a bonus.

If they follow through with Scarlet Johanssen's "What will I do next?" closing line, I won't be there to find out. I feel sorry for the poor saps who will.

At least I learned an important lesson: A panel-by-panel remake of a comic book is not a good idea.

ijag, it's my little one's favorite. her copy of the film and the wall-e flashligh I got her to play with in her room at night were the biggest hits of the holidays.
