Isn't the guy who won the supporting oscar for "No Country for Old Men" in this one too? If it's the same guy, I'm sure he was up for a Golden Globe in this one as well.

Yeah, I saw it was being remade this year. The only reason I'd go see it is to watch people walk out of the theater. Then again, maybe they'll clean it up a bit so it's more accessible.

Javier Bardem. Also Penelope Cruz's love interest, if I'm not mistaken.

I gave Pineapple Express a second chance today. Still didn't take.

Just saw Gran Torino a few hours ago. Decent movie. I didn't understand the plot at first, but it was an overall decent movie. I could see Eastwood winning an Academy Award for this one. It made you laugh (numerous times), angry and cry. And, damn, what a nice car.

    I'd recommend it.

I'm going to give it some time before I go back and rewatch it. I thought it was OK at first. Nothing special.

Caught The Golden Compass late last night on HBO. As much crap as I heard about the movie, it wasn't that bad. Looked good, kept my interest. Is a sequel still coming or did the studio shut down the franchise?

I think you got a better chance at a Water World sequel.
