Reminds me of the time I went to see Saw II. (I think I've told this story here before).

I was in a pretty empty theater with a couple of friends of mine and we're sitting there ready to see this very, very violent flick for the second time because we LOVED it on opening night.

Anyway, movie is about five minutes away from starting and in walks this guy, his chick and three kids who had to be between the ages of 2-8. I figure they went to the wrong theater. Nope. They sit right in front of us.

    For Saw II.

    Seriously.

I spend the first 10 minutes of the movie trying to figure out who the hell brings their kids to see a movie as violent as Saw II and then the rest of the movie biting my tongue because the little bastards are running around the theater screaming and yelling.

Halfway through the "mother" of these bastards gets up and leaves but, have no fear, she comes back five minutes later and the family finishes the flick.

I fully expect to read about one of their kids becoming a serial killer.

That it was Saw II makes the story that much better. Were it the original Saw, you might give them the benefit of the doubt, because there was a chance they wouldn't know how gory the movie was. But since it was Saw II, presumably they'd seen Saw I and knew exactly what they were getting into. Awesome.

Nothing says family time like throwing a chick into a mountain of used needles, blowing a hole in a guy's head with a revolver and slashing some other dude's throat with a saw.

Caught the last part of "There Will Be Blood" on FX (starting over from the top now). That is one excellent flick and stellar work by Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano.

I thought Daniel Day Lewis completely overacted in "There Will Be Blood." But I think I'm the only one. I hated that movie.

I despise Daniel Day-Lewis. I hated "There Will Be Blood," but I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would.

Thank you. I think he's so full of himself. I couldn't stand his portrayal in that movie. But, you're right, it wasn't awful. I just despise Daniel Day-Lewis.

I have deep, irrational hatred of him. I would like to slap him across the face.

Watching Master and Commander again. Such a good movie. Wish they made a sequel.

I would regard Joe G's not liking my work as a badge of honor.

    What a Dorkopottomus.
